Wales to Fight Altitude Differently

While the Springboks are giving themselves as much time to acclimatise to altitude as possible, Saturday's opponents are approaching that aspect a little differently.

Sports scientists believe there are two schools of thought when it comes to best combating altitude. The first being to spend as MUCH time in those conditions as possible with the second being to spend as LITTLE time in those conditions as possible.

Wales have gone for the latter, choosing to prepare for Saturday's first test in the Mothercity as opposed to in Bloemfontein or Kimberley or Johannesburg for that matter.

Whether or not it's the right or wrong thing to do, we won't know just yet... But early indications are that it's a big error in judgement on their part.
